Terms of Service (TOS)

By purchasing a commission, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before making a payment.

1. Booking, Payment & Timeline

  • Upfront Payment: Full payment (100%) is required upfront via the platform's secure checkout before sketching begins.
  • Turnaround Time: Standard delivery is 2 to 4 weeks from the date of payment. If there are any unexpected delays, I will communicate them with you immediately.
  • Cancellation & Refunds:
    • If you cancel before work begins: 100% refund.
    • If you cancel during the sketch stage: 50% refund (to cover time spent).
    • If you cancel after the sketch is approved: No refunds will be issued.

2. Process & Revisions

  • Reference Photos: You must provide clear, well-lit photos of your pet.
  • Approval Stages: I will send you a rough sketch for approval before moving to final lines and colouring.
  • Style Acceptance: By approving the sketch, you acknowledge acceptance of my sketchy, stylized art form. I am an independent artist, and while I strive for accuracy, minor artistic liberties are taken to fit my cartoon-realism style.
  • Revisions: You get up to 2 free minor adjustments during the sketch stage. Once line art and coloring begin, the pose cannot be changed. Significant changes requested after sketch approval or after the final piece is delivered will incur an extra fee of £10 per revision.

3. Boundaries & Content Restrictions

  • Allowed Content: I specialize strictly in pet and animal portraits (dogs, cats, small animals, birds, etc.).
  • Prohibited Content: I do not draw overly graphic imagery, gore, violence, horror, nudity, suggestive/NSFW content, or political/hateful themes.
  • I reserve the right to decline any request that makes me uncomfortable, without needing to provide a detailed reason.

4. Personal Use & Licensing

  • Personal Use Only: This purchase is strictly for personal use. You may print the artwork for your home, gift it to friends, or use it as a social media profile picture.
  • No Commercial Use: You may not use this artwork to make money. This includes selling prints, using it on merchandise (T-shirts, mugs), or using it for business branding/logos.
  • Copyright: As the artist, I retain full copyright ownership of the artwork. You may not claim the art as your own creation.
  • Note: If you require a commercial license, please contact me directly before ordering to discuss a separate commercial contract and fee.

5. Artist Rights & Promotion

  • Self-Promotion: As the creator, I reserve the right to post the completed artwork, work-in-progress screenshots, or speedpaint videos on my social media accounts, portfolio, and marketing materials to promote my art business.
  • No Reselling: I promise never to resell your specific pet's portrait as merchandise, prints, greeting cards, or stock imagery to anyone else. Your pet's custom portrait belongs uniquely to you.

• • Privacy Requests: If the artwork is a surprise gift or a sensitive memorial piece, please let me know before payment. I am happy to delay posting it online until an agreed-upon date.
